> H12 tool steel is characterized by a controlled chromium content along with other alloying elements.
> H12 tool steel with excellent toughness
> H12 tool steel with high hardenability
Heat treatment:
Hardness :Annealed(+A) max: 235 BHN
H12 tool steel when heat-treatment the preheat Temperature need reach 788°C, and the temperature may be ± 14 °C .
H12 tool steel when austenitizing ,should keep 5-15 minutes long. If is the salt bath ,temperature should keep in the 996 °C,and shall be ± 5.6 °C. Or is the controlled atmosphere furnaces,temperature should keep in the 1010 °C,and shall be ± 5.6 °C.
Quenching: H12 tool steel Hardening quenching using air cooling, and it's hardness min is 53 RC.
Tempering: H12 tool steel general tempering temperature is 552°C. Double tempering of Double tempering of H12 tool steel is recommended.
Ultrasonic Test:Material will be ultrasonically tested at appropriate stages of the manufacture to ensure the quality, as agreed between seller and purchaser.
Application:
For the manufacture of large impact load forging dies, hot extrusion die, forging die; aluminum, copper and alloy die-casting mold
